I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 1080 to a 5070, but I'm running into an issue with my Zowie ZL2411 monitor. It only has VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports, while the new card has DisplayPort and HDMI options. The problem is, my monitor doesn't support 144Hz through HDMI. I've seen some adapters that go from DisplayPort to DVI dual-link, but I'm hesitant to invest in those since I've read mixed reviews about their reliability. I'm wondering if anyone has had success with these adapters, or if I'm better off just getting a new monitor instead.

If 144Hz is a must-have for you, just go for the new monitor. If you’re okay with a bit lower refresh rate, check which HDMI version your monitor has. If it’s HDMI 2.0, you might be fine just using that.
Honestly, it might be worth getting a new monitor, especially with all the Black Friday deals coming up. Monitors tend to have pretty solid discounts during sales. Plus, moving away from a TN panel could really enhance your overall experience. You could use a cheap passive DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for a second monitor if that helps too.
You should consider what HDMI version your monitor supports. If it's 2.0 or newer, it might actually work for your needs.
Definitely get a new monitor, man. Once you experience 144Hz, you won't want anything else!
New monitor, no question about it. DVI-D is pretty much outdated at this point.
