Hey everyone! I'm new to building and buying PCs and I could use some assistance. I'm planning to get a new PC primarily for programming and gaming. However, I'm not very knowledgeable about what's best for the future—like how easy it is to upgrade components down the line. My current computer is an old and slow one, so I'm eager to get something that will be better and more scalable.
I'm looking at a specific model: the XTREME PC GAMING with an AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT, Ryzen 5 5500, and a 1TB SSD. If anyone wants the Amazon link, let me know—I'd be happy to share it! In terms of specs, it's got 16GB of RAM and runs on Windows 10.
Any advice or thoughts on whether this is a good choice, or if I should consider something else? Thanks a lot!

Honestly, I would steer clear of that setup. For the price, you're not getting much performance. If you're looking for gaming and programming, consider investing in a rig with a better graphics card that gives you more VRAM. It’ll serve you better in the long run. You can usually get a more balanced build for the same price on sites like PCPartPicker. But if you're set on that model, just know it might not last as long as you'd hope.
Hey! Could you share your budget and where you're based? That will help us suggest better options.
Also, just a heads up, I’ve heard some bad things about that PC. The RX 6500 XT isn’t the best choice for gaming—it’s pretty slow compared to older models, and you might end up lagging during your games. But if you're on a budget, there are better builds out there!
Sure! I'm from Mexico and I can spend around 10k, maybe a bit more or less.
Thanks for the info! I’m really trying to learn all of this. I appreciate the suggestions!
