Hey everyone! My dad isn't willing to buy me a PC, so I'm looking for some recommendations for a gaming rig. I need something cheap, ideally between $700 and $900, that can handle games like The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3. Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks!

It would be really helpful to know what country you're in to better find parts for you. If you're in the US, check out this starter build on PCPartPicker: [PCPartPicker Link]. Make sure to price out new parts versus used ones, though! Just be cautious—most used devices can be overpriced since people don’t often resell them at fair market value!

You might have some luck with using your school Chromebook for lighter gaming, but if you're serious about playing games like The Witcher 3, you'll want a dedicated PC. The recommendation is to aim for a budget around $800, but with just $900, you can get pretty decent older components that should still work well for gaming! Check out some PC builder forums for solid tips, and don't forget that building your own rig can save you money, but you’ve got to be ready for the DIY approach!

Honestly, if you're not set on having a PC, just get a console! They can be a lot easier and more straightforward for gaming. But I get it, if your dad's not buying that either, you really might need to save up a bit more or look for a used machine. Good luck!
