Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and I've hit a snag. I've got an MSI MAG Tomahawk X870E motherboard paired with a Ryzen 9 9900X CPU and 32GB of GSkill Flare X5 CL36 RAM rated for 6000MT/s. However, I can't seem to get the RAM to overclock to its advertised speed; it's stuck at 2400MT/s according to CPU-Z. I've tried a bunch of things like enabling Expo 1 and manually adjusting settings in the BIOS, but no luck - it keeps shutting down the monitors and forcing me to reset the CMOS. Any tips or ideas on what I can do to fix this? Here are my specs for reference: CPU - Ryzen 9 9900X, MOBO - MSI MAG Tomahawk X870E, RAM - GSkill Flare X5 CL36 6000MT/s, Graphics Card - ASRock Steel Legend 9070XT, AIO - Deep Cool 360, PSU - Corsair RM750e. Let me know if you need any more details!

What specific changes have you made in the BIOS to try and overclock the RAM? A little more detail could help us give better advice.
If swapping the RAM is an option, consider getting a different kit that’s known to work well with your motherboard. I’ve had success with CL30 6000MT/s RAM in my X870E build. It may be worth looking into the Tcreate Expert QVL; they’ve got compatible options. If money’s tight, know that going for CL32 at 6400MT/s might give you a nice edge in gaming!
You might want to head to Micro Center and see if they can assist you. They often have staff who can help with overclocking issues.
