I broke my Samsung A54 about two weeks ago, and now the screen is completely black, so I can't see anything or use the touchscreen. I just got a dongle with USB-C and various ports, including USB-3 and HDMI, and I've connected a mouse, keyboard, and monitor to it. Even though everything seems okay—the light on the dongle is on—my phone isn't projecting to the monitor like all the videos suggest it should. I've tried restarting the phone and even using FindMyPhone, but it can't locate the device at all. I'm really just trying to access my pictures and some apps. Any insights or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading my dilemma!
P.S. I shared a video demonstrating a similar setup that I'm trying to replicate: https://youtu.be/Vs8mSDQSObI?si=nPVM3JygYVJ8jOKR. Also, I added an image of my setup in the comments.

It sounds like you might have run into a common issue! Many of these setups need to be configured before the screen goes dark. You might need to authorize or grant permissions on your phone first. Did you check any videos that show this working? Sometimes those crucial steps are missed in video guides. Also, it could be worth looking to see if other users have run into the same issue. Hang in there!
Looking into the specs of the A54, it seems the USB-C port only supports USB 2.0, which typically doesn't allow for video output. This could be why you’re not getting anything on the monitor. If you need your data back, your best bet might be to replace the screen or try to activate USB transfer while connected to a PC. If you have a friend with the same model, it might help to have them guide you through it.
One simple thing to try is changing the input channels on your monitor. Sometimes that can be the fix for not getting a signal. I know it sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how often it helps!
