Hey folks, I really need some serious help here. My Instagram account got hacked about four months ago after I uninstalled the app for a little while. When I reinstalled it, I discovered that someone had taken over my account. They've changed my email, phone number, and even set up two-factor authentication, preventing me from logging in. Now, it asks for backup codes I never had, and since I can't access the linked email or phone number, I'm stuck. Even worse, my Facebook account, which was connected to my Instagram, got unlinked during this process! I've filled out multiple request forms on Instagram's hacked account page and sent numerous emails, but the responses are either vague or nonexistent. I even tried the video selfie verification, but because my account doesn't have many photos of me, I keep getting rejected. I'm at a loss here and feeling completely ignored. If anyone has advice on how to get through to Instagram or knows of any other way to reclaim my account, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Man, take it easy! It’s just Instagram at the end of the day. Grab a beer, step back, and remember that there are other platforms out there. But seriously, I hope you find a solution soon!
I've dealt with Meta support before, and let me tell you, it can be a nightmare. It might be worth exploring legal channels if you're really dead set on recovering your account, but just a heads-up—it's a lengthy and costly process with no guarantees. Talk to a local lawyer if that's a route you want to consider.
It really sounds frustrating, I’m sorry you’re going through this. Unfortunately, when accounts are hacked and such info is changed, recovery can be quite difficult. I’d recommend sticking to the recovery processes provided by Instagram and documenting everything. If you can’t get help there, some people have had success reaching out to them through their Business Support channels if you’re a creator or running a business.
