I'm working on building a gaming PC that can handle Battlefield 6 at medium settings, but I'm currently stuck playing modern games on low settings. I bought a prebuilt PC from Best Buy three years ago with these specs: Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, AMD Radeon RX6500 XT GPU (4GB of VRAM), B550-A Pro motherboard, and 16GB of RAM (upgraded from 8GB). I'm wondering if I should just upgrade some components or go for a completely new build altogether.

If you're looking to upgrade, I'd recommend getting a used RTX 3070 on eBay. You could find one for around $200 with a warranty, which is a solid choice. If you can afford it, a 9060 16GB would be even better, but it doesn't sound like you need to replace much else for that kind of performance.
Consider upgrading to an R7-5800X3D if your motherboard supports it, as it will give you a significant boost in performance. Also, think about getting a 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM kit for smoother multitasking. A PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD for storage could really enhance load times for your games too!
First things first, do you have a budget in mind? That will really help narrow down your options. Also, where are you located? There's usually great stuff available locally.
I don't have a strict budget, but if it's pricey for a good upgrade, I'll just save up longer. I'm in the US and pretty close to a Micro Center.
That sounds like a solid plan. Thanks for the detailed advice!
