Hey everyone! I'm reaching out for some advice on upgrading my PC. I've been using it for around 6 years, and it's finally starting to struggle with newer AAA games. Recently, I tried to launch DOOM: Dark Ages, but it wouldn't even start due to my GPU not being RTX compatible. Here's what I currently have:
- **CPU**: Ryzen 5 2600x
- **Motherboard**: MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX
- **GPU**: MSI Geforce GTX 1660ti
- **RAM**: 48GB Corsair Vengeance 3600
- **Storage**: 512GB 970 EVO Plus, 2TB Seagate Hard Drive
- **PSU**: Corsair 450W
I'm primarily looking to upgrade my graphics card since that's causing most of my issues, but I'm also considering a CPU upgrade. My budget is around $700 overall, ideally closer to $300-$550 for the GPU. I'm hoping to find a solid midrange option that will keep me playing for another 6 years! Any recommendations?

Check this build suggestion: the 5600 or the 5700x3D would be great CPU options, paired with the 9060 XT. Also, upgrading to a 650W PSU would future-proof your system. Don't skimp on the power supply!
You could also look for a good deal on a 2TB SSD while you're at it! They can boost your loading times a lot. Just ensure you have a robust PSU to support everything if you go for those upgrades!
It sounds like you're on the right track with targeting a GPU upgrade! If you're thinking about a midrange option, I suggest looking into the 5700x3D CPU or the 9060 XT 16GB GPU. They’ll give you a solid boost. Also, you might want to think about upgrading your PSU, especially if you're going with a more powerful graphics card!
If your budget allows, the 9060 XT and 5060 Ti both perform really well and should meet your needs for a while. Plus, they're priced competitively right now. However, remember that 450W might be a bit tight for those upgrades, so consider the PSU as well!

Thanks! Your suggestions are really helpful, and I agree about the PSU upgrade.
