Hey everyone! This is my first post here, and I could really use some advice on my PC setup. I currently have an NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Super paired with an Intel i5-9400F. My C drive is a 111GB SSD, and my D drive is a 1TB HDD. Everything has been running smoothly for about 5 years, but I'm looking to upgrade to a better NVIDIA GPU with a budget of around $500 (maybe a bit more). My main concern is whether a new GPU will fit in my case and if my system can handle the upgrade. Right now, I'm playing Oblivion Remastered at 40fps, and it's driving me nuts!

First things first, do you know what power supply you have? That's super important when upgrading your GPU. You’ll also want to check if it has enough wattage to support a new card. If you're unsure about the power supply, just look for a label on it or check your PC specs online!
Honestly, if you're aiming to get a new GPU, just keep in mind that your i5-9400F might hold you back a bit, especially for gaming like Oblivion. It’s worth considering a platform upgrade to get the best performance. Look into CPU and motherboard bundles at places like Microcenter, especially if that’s available to you!
A platform upgrade? Are you suggesting I should upgrade my whole PC?
I have no idea how to find that out, but does it really matter?
