My laptop has been running slow for a few days, and now it's completely unable to boot. I attempted to reinstall Windows using a flash drive, but I hit a roadblock. The primary drive doesn't have enough space to install Windows, so I tried to clean up the primary drive to free up space. However, I got an error message saying: 'DiskPart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.' I'm stuck because I can't use any tools to check the SSD since the laptop won't boot up. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If you're looking to check the SSD externally, you could use a USB-to-SATA adapter. This way, you can connect the SSD to another computer to see if it’s still functioning. Just make sure to check the drive for errors once it's connected!
It sounds like your drive might be defective if you're getting I/O errors with DiskPart. Unfortunately, that usually indicates you need to replace the drive to resolve the problem. It’s worth considering that as your next step.
