Need Help with Intermittent White VGA Light on Boot

Hey folks, I'm really struggling with an issue concerning my PC. I keep getting a white VGA light when I boot, and it seems to happen quite randomly. What's odd is that this light still shows up even if I remove the GPU and connect my display cable directly to the motherboard. I've already tried quite a few troubleshooting steps: reseating both the GPU and CPU, checking CPU pins (they look good), ensuring all power connections are secure, flashing the BIOS to the latest version, testing with only one RAM stick, disabling Fast Boot, trying different PCIe generations, and swapping out cables. My gut feeling is that it might be a motherboard problem because once it finally manages to boot up, everything works perfectly for the rest of the day. Can anyone suggest anything else I can try before I consider returning my motherboard? I've never replaced one before but I'm not too keen on the idea if I can avoid it! Here are my specs: CPU: 9800X3D, GPU: 5090, Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B650-A Gaming WiFi, RAM: Corsair DDR5 6000 CL30 32GB.

It sounds like you've done a lot already! Since you've tried switching to PCIe Gen 4, I'd be cautious because your B650 board typically doesn't support Gen 5 for the GPU, which could lead to performance issues. If you're planning on upgrading your motherboard anyway, that might solve your problem outright. Just keep in mind that the combination of your CPU and GPU is pretty high-end, so a better motherboard like a B850 or X870E would definitely eliminate the bottleneck.

That makes a lot of sense! I thought I had Gen 5 capabilities, but it looks like I was mistaken. I'm still considering options to pinpoint the issue before I replace anything.
