Need Help with My Audio Production PC Build and M.2 Lane Sharing

Hey everyone! I'm working on building a micro ATX PC specifically for audio production, and I've designed the build without a dedicated graphics card as it won't be needed. I have a question regarding the motherboard I'm using, which is the ASRock B850M Steel Legend WiFi. I'd like to know if the M.2 slots will share any lanes with the PCIe slots, particularly the bottom PCIe x4 slot. I plan to use that slot for a FireWire PCIe card while also utilizing all three M.2 slots for my SSDs.

I've searched high and low but haven't found clear information on the lane sharing specifics. Any insights would be really appreciated! Also, if you have thoughts on the other components in my build, feel free to share!

By the way, as a bonus for audio buffs, does it make a difference in which M.2 slots I install my SSDs based on their intended use? Thanks a lot!

Have you considered if your software really needs separate SSDs? Nowadays, with SSD speeds being what they are, many users find they can stick to fewer larger SSDs with partitions to keep data organized. It does help reduce the risk of losing everything if one SSD fails, but I think you'll manage just fine with two SSDs instead of three if that clears up lane sharing issues.

Yeah, that's a good point! I could definitely see benefits in going with two SSDs if it simplifies everything.
