Hey everyone, I'm feeling pretty frustrated with my recent upgrade. I moved from an RTX 3070 to a 4070 Ti Super and from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, expecting a significant boost in gaming performance. However, I'm encountering inconsistent framerates and stuttering in multiple games, even in titles that shouldn't be demanding like Firewatch. My specs include the RTX 4070 Ti Super, Ryzen 7 5700X3D, B450 Tomahawk MAX motherboard, 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM, and I'm running Windows 11. Despite the hardware upgrade, I'm seeing erratic FPS ranging from 40-100+ in various games. For instance, in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, I dip below 80 FPS, and in Baldur's Gate 3, I can reach 144 FPS, but with sound issues. I've already done a clean install of NVIDIA drivers, updated my BIOS, adjusted power settings to high performance, and checked thermals, but nothing seems to solve the problem. I suspect there might be something I'm missing in the settings or the way my games are installed. Any advice would be super appreciated!

First off, make sure your games are installed on an SSD instead of an HDD if possible. I know you mentioned that your games were fine on the older setup, but SSDs can significantly reduce load times and improve performance, especially with stuttering issues.
I have all my games on a 1TB HDD. I didn't think it would cause this much trouble since I didn't have issues with the previous build. Should I consider switching to an SSD?
