Need Help with Unexpected Charge After Free Trial

I signed up for a 7-day free trial of an app through the Apple App Store, but instead of getting charged at the end of the trial, I was charged immediately. I canceled the subscription right away, but now I can't seem to get any help or understand why my request for a refund was denied. Has anyone had success in getting a refund for situations like this?

How long ago did this happen, and how much are we talking?

It happened 3 days ago. I canceled right away and asked for a refund, but they denied it the next day without any explanation.

You’re not alone, by the way. I checked the reviews of that app, and a lot of people are having similar issues. Also saw a bunch of complaints in the app's support forums.

You can definitely request a refund through Apple after the charge hits your card, but just a heads-up: there's no guarantee you'll get it back. It's worth trying, though!

Have you considered doing a chargeback through your card? It might help, but be careful because that could affect your Apple account.

Only do that if you’re okay with risking your Apple account access. My friend mentioned it, but it sounds risky.

Yeah, I thought about it too, but a rep warned me that Apple might block your account for that. Just be cautious!
