Need Recommendations for Building a Gaming PC

I'm looking to build a gaming PC since I play a lot of games like Fortnite, Skyrim, and RDR2. My knowledge about PC parts is pretty limited, and it feels overwhelming to choose the right components. I'd like to have a setup that will last a few years without needing upgrades and can run games on high settings smoothly. I currently have a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, and I'm unsure about what other parts I would need. Any recommendations for a good GPU or other components?

The RTX 3070 Ti you have should handle those games really well! As for other parts, you might want to check sites like pcpartpicker.com for guidance on compatible components. The 3070 Ti is still a solid card for gaming at high settings, so you're already off to a good start!

Thanks for the advice! I'm curious though, how much longer can I expect the 3070 Ti to stay good for gaming? I'm planning to give my old PC to my nephew and I thought maybe I should upgrade.

You could build a system with an AM5 9600X processor and a 750W power supply. Honestly, the 3070 Ti is already pretty powerful for the games you mentioned, maybe even overkill! The main decisions left would be things like memory size and SSD type, but you’re already halfway there with that GPU!

Thanks for the info! Since I’m gifting my current PC to my nephew, I'm considering whether I should get a new 3070 Ti or look for something newer for myself.
