Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on managing cable organization in a rack setup that's turned out to be a bit more challenging than I expected. We've got a single 45RU rack with patch panels already in place, and since we're a team of over 80 users, I ordered 4 Forti switches, each with 48 ports. Initially, I planned to connect them using 0.5m cables, running from the top patch panel straight down to the corresponding switch ports, but after seeing the rack, it's clear that my original plan isn't going to fit with the existing patch panels and switches. Now, I'm worried about creating a messy cable environment, especially with patch panels positioned at the bottom. I'm considering adding some cable management both above and below each patch panel to keep things tidy. Any suggestions on how to handle this effectively while maximizing our limited rack space?

You might think about just relocating some of the switches down to the bottom part of the rack. It could help you avoid a ton of extra cable clutter. Honestly, I often find that just minimizing the number of cables that need to go the long way can make things way easier to deal with. Plus, it keeps it cleaner!
