I upgraded my system to an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF and an MSI PRO Z890-S WIFI, while keeping my RTX 4060 and two 8GB sticks of T-Force Vulcan DDR5. The motherboard and processor were tested together at a computer store and worked normally, but I cannot get my own system to display BIOS. I have tried clearing CMOS, reseating the components, and testing with only one RAM stick. My older CPU and motherboard still work with the rest of my hardware, but the new parts do not. What else should I check?

The 265KF does not have integrated graphics, so the monitor must be connected to the RTX 4060 and the card must be fully seated with its power cable attached. The motherboard video outputs will not work with this CPU. Try booting with one RAM stick in the A2 slot, the 4060 installed, and only the CPU, cooler, one stick of memory, and power connections attached. Check the motherboard’s diagnostic LEDs as well; they should indicate whether the problem is CPU, memory, VGA, or boot-related.
Since the CPU and board work outside your case, repeat that same minimal test on a nonconductive surface rather than installing everything in the case. Connect the 24-pin motherboard cable and the separate CPU EPS power cable, then test with one memory stick and the graphics card. If it works outside the case, look for an extra motherboard standoff, a misplaced screw, or another case short. Confirm that the display cable is plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard.
I’ve already tested it outside the case, so I’ll focus on the GPU connection, power cables, and the diagnostic LEDs.
So it won’t post without integrated graphics? I’ll make sure the monitor is connected directly to the 4060.
