Hey everyone, I'm really struggling with my new PC build. After putting everything together, it boots up but doesn't get anywhere. Here's what I'm seeing: the RAM lights up and stays on, the case fans (but not the CPU cooling fan) only spin for a moment before stopping, and all the debug LEDs on the motherboard light up for a quick second then turn off, which I thought meant everything was fine. The screen shows a 'no signal' warning before shutting down completely. Even when I hold the power button for a long time, the PC doesn't turn off; it just stays on. I've double-checked all the connections multiple times and talked it over with friends online, but no luck. Initially, I thought maybe the motherboard was faulty, so I replaced it, but I'm experiencing the same issue. I even changed the RAM to a 32GB stick instead of what I had listed initially. Here's my parts list: https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/fWshkfr#compatibility_notes. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?

It sounds like you might need to update your motherboard's BIOS. Check your motherboard manual for instructions on how to flash it using a USB drive without needing to boot up. Sometimes, new CPUs require the latest BIOS to function properly. Hope this helps!
Also, make sure there's no short-circuit protection kicking in. I helped a friend with the same problem recently, and it turned out to be a loose screw under his motherboard. Might be worth checking!
Flashing the BIOS could definitely be a good start, but I would also look into the possibility of a short or even a faulty power supply. What kind of PSU are you using? Did you install the motherboard with standoffs, and did you screw it in just snugly, not too tight? That can sometimes cause issues too.
Yeah, I made sure to screw it in just snug. But I get what you're saying; I'll check the PSU next. Thanks for the tips!
I totally get you! I'm trying to flash it too, but after a few tries, it keeps rebooting on its own instead of continuing the process. So frustrating! Any thoughts on that?
