I recently built a fairly new computer, but over the past few days I've started running into several problems. Some games refuse to start, Task Manager sometimes crashes, and Windows has shown BAD_POOL_CALLER blue screens. I'm not sure whether this points to a memory problem or something else. BAD_POOL_CALLER usually indicates memory corruption, and that can also explain the random crashes and games failing to launch. If you have XMP, EXPO, or DOCP enabled in the BIOS, disable it temporarily and run the system at its default memory settings. If the crashes continue, collect the files from C:WindowsMinidump and review several crash dumps for a consistent faulty driver or hardware pattern.
