I'm about to upgrade from my 7-year-old RTX 2060 to a newer, high-end GPU, aiming for some incredible UWQHD gaming. I use a Samsung G8 34-inch OLED and really want to enjoy max graphics settings and possibly ray tracing, although I'm considering how significant ray tracing will be in the future. I'm looking at either the RTX 5070 Ti or the RX 9070 XT since I know DLSS currently surpasses AMD's FSR. I'm also using an Intel i7 13700KF CPU, which should handle things without bottlenecking. I'd love to hear your thoughts on which GPU might be better for future-proofing or if there are other models I should keep in mind!

It really comes down to availability and pricing. If the RTX 5070 Ti is just around $100 more than the 9070 XT, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother unless you're set on Nvidia for some reason.
I've seen some folks with the 9070 XT express regret and wish they had opted for the 5070 Ti instead. Although it’s pricey, in the long run, the 5070 Ti might be the smarter choice.
I wouldn't buy a GPU solely based on software features like DLSS or FSR since it all depends on which games you play. Where I am, the RTX 5070 Ti is usually close to MSRP, while the 9070 XT goes for about $100 extra. Honestly, I think the 5070 Ti is a bit overpriced, but it delivers better performance overall. One key thing to check is if your G8 has a real G-Sync module; if it does, then definitely lean towards Nvidia.
