PC Stuck at CPU Check After Dusting: Any Fixes?

Hey everyone! I recently cleaned out my PC, removing some parts and cables to reach tight spaces. After reassembling everything, I turned it on, but there was no signal on my display. I noticed that the CPU light on my motherboard is glowing red. I've taken everything apart again and tested each component separately, but the issue persists. The only time the CPU light turns off is when I disconnect the motherboard power cable. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting suggestions I found online, like taking it out of the case, checking cable connections, and reseating components. The only thing I can't test is swapping parts, as I don't have any spares and the local repair shop is closed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried resetting the CMOS? That can sometimes clear issues and let you boot into BIOS. If that doesn't work, it's possible the CPU has a bent pin or something may have shorted it out—could be a tough situation.

I did take out the battery and waited a bit, but nothing changed. The motherboard pins look fine to me too. Is there a way to check if the CPU has shorted out?
