I just rebuilt an old PC with my brother and upgraded some components, switching from DDR3 to DDR4 RAM, and also replaced the motherboard, CPU, and CPU cooler. At first, everything seemed fine, but after logging in, the screen goes black and returns me to the login screen within about 30 seconds. I tried upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10 but ran into a black screen during installation. I attempted to reinstall Windows using a USB drive, changing the boot order to prioritize the USB, but encountered an error message stating that 'your device ran into a problem and needs to restart,' along with a stop code 0xc000021a. Now my PC is stuck in a boot loop, no matter what I try, including cleaning the SSD and reseating components. I updated the BIOS to the latest version and even tried an earlier version but still no luck. Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions? I'm considering returning the CPU since it's the only part under warranty, but the motherboard and RAM can't be returned anymore. Here are my specs for reference: NEW Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI, NEW Memory: Lexar THOR 16 GB DDR4, NEW CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600, NEW CPU Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120, Storage: WD_Black SN850X 1 TB NVMe, Graphics: Radeon RX 5700 XT, Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1.

I recommend trying to clear any remnants of Windows from your drive and resetting your BIOS settings. Since you're transitioning from Intel to Ryzen, those remnants might be causing issues.
Have you wiped the SSD using the Windows installer? Sometimes it works better that way. If you're only trying to do it through the BIOS, that might not fully clear things up.
I had to wipe it using the BIOS because I can't reach the installer due to the boot loop.

Yeah, I already cleared the SSD and reset the BIOS to optimized defaults. It’s definitely a switch from Intel to Ryzen!
