Hey everyone! I'm having a weird issue with my PC when I first boot it up in the morning. It starts up fine and I reach the Windows desktop, but everything is super slow and choppy. After checking Task Manager, I see that my CPU is locked at just 0.55GHz, which can't be good. After a few attempts that take 3-5 tries, it finally stays on and the CPU speed returns to normal. Once it's up and running, everything works perfectly for the rest of the day. My specs are:
- Gigabyte A520I AC Motherboard
- Ryzen 9 5900X Processor
- Corsair Vengeance RGB RT 32GB DDR4 4600MHz
- ROG STRIX GTX 1080
- WD_BLACK SN850X 2TB NVMe M.2
- Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P MAX (with a preinstalled V850 SFX 850w 80-PLUS Gold PSU and a 3rd gen 280mm AIO cooler)
- Windows 11 Pro
If anyone has suggestions on how to fix this issue, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Hey! Do you have multiple RGB software installed? Programs like Armoury Crate, iCue, or ones from your motherboard brand can sometimes interfere with startup performance. I had a similar problem and removing some conflicting software helped.
Have you tried clearing the CMOS? It might help reset any problematic BIOS settings. Just load the optimised defaults after clearing it and see if that helps.
Yeah, I’ve cleared the CMOS and loaded optimised defaults too, unfortunately it didn’t solve the issue. I’m really stumped on this.
Interesting, I do have Armoury Crate and the Gigabyte APP for my motherboard. I even tried a fresh Windows reinstall but the problem is still there.
