Post-Upgrade Errors with New Power Supply Unit

Hey everyone! I recently installed a new HX1000i Corsair power supply, but I've been encountering some errors since the upgrade. While running the 3DMark benchmark, the performance seems okay, but the system crashes unexpectedly. Interestingly, the PC itself doesn't crash, just the benchmark program. I made sure to use all new PSU cables and here's what I'm working with: GTX 1070, i7 12700k, and 32GB of RAM. I'm also a bit worried about whether I might have damaged any hardware during the upgrade. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

First off, is your PSU brand new? If it’s second-hand, then there might be a chance it could be degraded. Nowadays, I would always go for a brand new unit, especially for a high-performance build.

Yes, it's brand new!

Did you happen to run that benchmark before swapping the PSU? Also, it's worth considering if any physical damage occurred while you were changing it out—those things can be tricky!

I don't think I damaged anything during the swap.
