Has anyone else experienced problems with Dell Command Update (DCU) not pulling in some necessary driver updates, especially for BIOS? I'm currently using DCU 5.5 classic (not UWP) and I've noticed that it hasn't detected the two latest BIOS versions. I've tried reaching out to Dell for support, but it feels like their service, even with ProSupportPlus, is getting worse. They won't escalate the issue unless I provide logs from an OEM imaged Windows 11 Pro machine, which seems unreasonable. Additionally, I found out that Dell quietly released another version of DCU 5.5 A00_01, but without clear information, it has me suspicious because we've faced persistent BIOS issues with the Latitude 5550s since we started using them. Updating the BIOS is always a gamble on whether it will go smoothly. I've also checked the repository that DCU references, and while it contains some updates, it doesn't include the BIOS updates I need. Uninstalling and reinstalling DCU or clearing the registry key associated with the repo hasn't made a difference. It seems like the issue might be on Dell's end, either with the repository being outdated or needing adjustments on their backend. I'm looking for tips or any insights into how DCU works, how the repository is set, and why it seems like my machines are accessing an incorrect or incomplete repository. It's frustrating when paid support doesn't seem to help and everything feels like it's in decline.

One option is to roll back to the previous version of DCU and see if that solves the issue you're facing. Sometimes new updates can introduce glitches that just weren't there before.
Honestly, I'm not even sure why you would stick with DCU. There are other ways to manage drivers and firmware updates for Dell laptops. It's been reliable for us in the past, but their backend doesn't seem to get tested properly anymore before releases.

I get that, but DCU has been our go-to for a while! It's tough to switch tools when you have over 100 devices to manage, plus it's supposed to simplify things. Just wish Dell would keep their side in check.
