I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and I'm torn between the R7 5700 and the 5700X. I have an Asus PRIME B350 motherboard, and my current CPU is an R5 2600. My GPU is an RTX 4060, and I have 32GB of RAM. I also have a Seasonic Focus Gold 550W PSU. Can anyone help me figure out which CPU would perform better for gaming and video editing?

The 5700X is definitely a better choice if you're into gaming and video editing. It has higher clock speeds and better overall performance compared to the standard 5700. It’s essentially a more powerful version, so you’ll notice a significant increase in both gaming frame rates and video editing render times.
Yes, your motherboard should support it. Just make sure you have the latest BIOS update. As for the PSU, a 550W should be fine for the 5700X; just keep an eye on your overall system wattage use!
That's good to know! But will my B350 motherboard actually support the 5700X? I heard it might be officially compatible, but are there any hidden downsides I should be aware of?
