Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a 27-inch 1440p monitor suitable for gaming, particularly since my current setup includes an RX 6750 XT GPU which I believe has more years of life left. Right now, I'm using a 4K 60 Hz monitor without FreeSync, and I'm facing tearing and stuttering issues that detract from my gaming experience.
To give you a bit more context, here's my setup:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G
- GPU: RX 6750 XT
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage: NVMe SSD
- Location: Europe
Looking ahead, I'm planning to upgrade my setup but my immediate focus is finding a decent monitor. Here's what I'm looking for specifically:
- Size: 27 inches (I think this is ideal for 1440p)
- Resolution: 1440p (QHD)
- Refresh Rate: 144 Hz or higher
- FreeSync support
- Good motion handling to minimize stutter and tearing
- Primarily for gaming (both single-player and fast-paced)
What's most important to me is smooth gameplay with a focus on VRR, a balance between image quality and fluidity, and a reasonable price point. While I realize my RX 6750 XT may not consistently hit 144 FPS on ultra settings, my goal is to achieve a smooth experience around 70-100 FPS.
If anyone has suggestions for monitors available in Europe or models to steer clear of, your input would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Not a monitor expert, but I just got the KTC H27S17 for about €120 during a special offer, and it's definitely an upgrade over my old 1080p 60Hz TN panel. If you catch the right deal, it could serve you well.
Have you thought about the MSI G272QPF E2? It's a solid choice with a 180 Hz refresh rate and FreeSync support, plus it has height adjustment for comfort. You can often find it for around €200 or even lower depending on sales.
I recently bought the MSI G272QPF E2 as well! It’s awesome for gaming, runs at 180 Hz, and the FreeSync makes a big difference. Just found it on sale locally for €169.99, regular price is usually around €229. A great deal if you can snag it!
If you're looking to keep costs down, check out the KTC 27 inch Mini LED monitor. I got mine about six months ago for around €260 and it's been fantastic for gaming. Just something to consider if you find it on sale.
