I'm in the market for a new monitor and would love some recommendations! I'm looking for a 27-inch 1440p IPS display to use for work and gaming. My budget is around $300, but I'm open to spending a bit more if it means getting an OLED monitor. What options do you suggest?

If you're open to different options, I'd suggest the **28" 4K Samsung Odyssey G70B**. It might surpass your original size goal, but it's a fantastic monitor for its price! Alternatively, you can check out **quantum dot monitors** for vibrant colors, like the one linked on Amazon.

If you're based in the US, check out the **GS27QA (SA)**. It hits all the specs you’re after with 180Hz for around $180. There’s also the **Q27G40XMN**, which is a 27" miniled-VA option that runs around $250, and is being praised as one of the best budget HDR monitors out there with minimal ghosting and blooming effects. Just keep in mind some typical VA monitor downsides.

The **Gigabyte M27Q** is a solid choice, especially if you can handle 180Hz. If you're willing to stretch your budget just a bit, consider the **LG UltraGear 27GR83Q-B**, which can push up to 240Hz. Both are great for gaming and productivity!

I saw some folks discussing the AOC G40, which seems to be one of the top choices in the miniled category right now. It's mostly an upgrade over other models, apart from some minor features. If you're after something that really shines in HDR without breaking the bank, this could be worth a look.

You might want to look into the **M27Q-P or M27Q-X**. I have the regular M27Q and I really like it. The newer P and X models are said to be even better, and the P model has built-in speakers, which could be handy, even if they’re not the best quality.
