I recently learned that the Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX V2 motherboard I was considering doesn't support DDR4 RAM. I'm looking for a good motherboard that is compatible with DDR4 memory, the Ryzen 5 9600x processor, and the RX 9070 XT graphics card. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Unfortunately, all AM5 motherboards only support DDR5 RAM, so you won't find any options there. If you want DDR4, you'll need to look for an AM4 motherboard, which was designed for Ryzen 2000 to 5000 CPUs. Make sure to do some research on compatibility before purchasing.
As mentioned, there aren't any AM5 options for DDR4. If going Intel is an option, their 12th to 14th Gen CPUs offer the flexibility you're after. Otherwise, you're looking at Ryzen 5000 series on AM4 for DDR4. Check out PCPartPicker for compatibility checks!
You're out of luck with AM5, as that platform sticks strictly to DDR5. The only flexibility comes with Intel's LGA 1700 socket, which can support both DDR4 and DDR5. If you want to keep using DDR4, you could consider getting an AM4 motherboard or switch to Intel if that’s your route.
