I'm looking to upgrade the WiFi card in my brother's computer. He has an ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI motherboard, and the current Mediatek card just isn't cutting it. Unfortunately, using an ethernet connection isn't an option for us at home, so I'm hoping to find a better wireless card to replace it entirely. For reference, the CPU in the system is an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-Core Processor. Any suggestions?

Honestly, onboard WiFi has been sufficient for most users for quite some time now. If the connection is still poor with the onboard setup, it might not be a simple fix by just swapping in a new card. You might want to troubleshoot that first before investing in new hardware.
Have you checked the antenna setup for the onboard WiFi? It might not be positioned correctly if it's sitting behind the computer or on the floor, which could affect performance.
You might want to check out the Intel AX200 or AX210. They're solid picks for quality WiFi performance.
If you're aiming for WiFi 6, the Intel AX210 is definitely the way to go. But if you want to future-proof for WiFi 7, consider the Qualcomm NCM865. Just keep in mind that Intel's WiFi 7 isn't compatible with AMD boards, so steer clear of that combo, and also the AX201 or AX211 are only good for Intel systems.
I actually have the MSI herald wifi adapter with the Qualcomm chip, and it's worked flawlessly with my AM4 build!

How can I tell which card is the right one for my motherboard? I see so many different AX210 models on Amazon and it's confusing.
