Recommendations for Upgrading RAM and SSD

I just picked up a prebuilt gaming PC from Costco for $744, which includes an RTX 5080. The reason for the low price is that someone stole the RAM and SSD from it. Unfortunately, one of the SSD ports is damaged due to bent pins. The RAM slots are fine, though. I'm looking for suggestions on what to get for RAM and SSD to upgrade it, with a budget of $700 total. I'm aiming for 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. Here's the link to the PC for reference: https://www.costco.com/p/-/msi-aegis-gaming-desktop-amd-ryzen-9-9900x-geforce-rtx-5080-windows-11-home-32gb-ram-2tb-ssd/4000355760.

With a sweet setup like yours, have you thought about pulling the CPU and GPU and just building a new PC around them? Sometimes motherboards have hidden issues, and since you got an RTX 5080 and a 9900x for such a low price, you could end up with a killer system. Just a thought!

If you have access to a Microcenter, it might be worth checking out their bundles for RAM and motherboards. Most of them come with compatible hardware. Since you're replacing components, I’d recommend looking for a new motherboard too, especially because one of the SSD ports is damaged—it’s better to play it safe! A good deal like yours deserves a solid build.

Wow, you really scored with that deal! For your RAM, you might want to check out some options like Corsair Vengeance LPX or G.Skill Ripjaws. For the SSD, steer clear of drives that use QLC flash since they don't perform as well. Good picks for TLC flash drives would be the Patriot P400 Lite, Crucial P510, or WD_Black SN7100. They should meet your needs without breaking the bank!
