Hey everyone! I'm looking to get my two WordPress blogs back in action but I've been struggling with SSL certificates lately. Managing my own SSL is a hassle and paying for it feels a bit steep. Ideally, I'd love to find a hosting service that includes SSL in their plans. Any suggestions on reliable WordPress hosts that come with SSL certs? I initially tried asking on the WordPress subreddit, but they don't permit hosting-related queries, so here I am!

You might want to check out Cloudflare or Let's Encrypt for free SSL certificates! As for hosting, it really depends on what you're looking for—shared, VPS, dedicated, etc. Personally, I recommend OVHCloud for VPS or dedicated servers, paired with RunCloud or CloudPanel for ease of management. Don't forget to consider plugins like FlyingPress for optimization, and you can still utilize Cloudflare for SSL and DNS.
If budget isn't a huge concern, I really like Kinsta for its premium service, especially regarding support. But if you're looking for something more budget-friendly, ICDSoft's SmartVPS plan is solid—$19.99 a month with multiple sites allowed, and their tech support has been great for me.
Isn’t that a bit overkill for just small personal sites?
