Hey everyone! I recently reconnected my hard drive and saw that it shows 3.6 TB free out of a total 4 TB. I used AOMEI Partition Assistant and discovered some bad sectors, but managed to recover about 1.6 TB of data. I've saved that data on an internal hard drive on my PC. Here's my big issue: all my files are now scattered in various folders, and instead of neatly organized movies, pictures, and programs, I have individual images, documents, and audio files. Is there a way to retrieve them back into their original categories? Is this even possible? I'm really stressed about this—any advice would mean a lot to me!

I feel for you; that’s a tough situation. Have you tried looking into the metadata of some of your files? Sometimes, with the right recovery software, you can regain the original file names and extensions, though it might take some time and patience. If your files were organized by date or modified date, that might help with sorting them out too! Hope this helps!
It sounds like you've handled the initial recovery well! Unfortunately, when files get corrupted, they often lose their directory structure. While it’s tricky, you might want to try using a file recovery tool specifically designed for your original file types, like Recuva or EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. They might help you piece things back together. Just be careful not to write anything new to that part of the drive, as it could overwrite your lost files. Good luck!
