RTX 3080 vs RTX 5060 Ti: Which Should I Choose for Future-Proofing?

Hey everyone, I'm at a crossroads and need your help! I'm trying to decide between sticking with my RTX 3080 10GB or swapping it out for an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. I realize the 3080 has better performance right now, but I'm curious if the 5060 Ti could catch up in the future thanks to driver updates. I'm looking to game at 1440p for the next few years without making any other upgrades. Right now, I'm rocking an i5-14400F alongside the 3080, and the swap would cost me nothing (just £0!). I need to make this decision urgently, as I have to finalize it by Tuesday. I'm based in the UK and spent around £1,100 on my PC, so if you think I'm getting a bad deal or have any recommendations for a prebuilt rig, throw those suggestions my way! Thanks a lot!

I'd go for the 5060 Ti! It’s new, has a warranty, consumes less power, and gives you 16GB of VRAM. It sounds like a solid choice for future gaming without worrying about upgrades!

I checked several benchmarks, and the 3080 does usually pull ahead in FPS, but in terms of power savings and future-proofing, what else makes you lean towards the 3080?
