RX 9070 XT vs. RTX 5070: Which One Should I Keep?

I recently purchased a Sapphire RX 9070 XT for €720, and after running some FPS tests, I'm quite pleased with its performance, even if I'm not a fan of the AMD interface yet. However, I've also got the chance to buy an RTX 5070 for €600, and my initial tests show that it has better FPS than the 9070 XT. I mainly play on a triple-screen setup at 1080p but I'm looking to upgrade to 1440p. Should I stick with the RX 9070 XT or go for the RTX 5070?

Honestly, the RX 9070 XT outperforms the 5070 in most areas except for ray tracing and productivity tasks. It also comes with more VRAM, which is great for multi-monitor setups. I'd stick with the 9070 XT if I were you.

I agree! The 9070 XT is a powerhouse, and while ray tracing isn't its strong suit, it's still a solid contender.

Yeah, don't underestimate the 9070 XT's performance. It handles multi-screen setups really well!

If the 5070 looks better in tests and it's cheaper, you might consider switching. But keep in mind the 9070 XT typically offers better raw performance.

That's true! If you find the 5070's performance acceptable for your needs, saving money is always a win.

The RTX 5070 has better features like DLSS and ray tracing, so if those matter to you, it might be worth it. But if you want pure gaming performance, the RX 9070 XT is the way to go.

Exactly! DLSS is great, but if you're gaming primarily, the RX 9070 XT could still have the edge.

For 1080p and if you're planning to move to 1440p, the RX 9070 XT makes more sense due to its greater VRAM and stability. Stick with it unless you're heavily into ray tracing.

You should definitely choose the RX 9070 XT. The 5070 is nice, but the 9070 is simply better for gaming overall.
