SD Card Stuck in Read-Only Mode – What Can I Do?

I'm experiencing issues with a new SanDisk 32GB SD card. I was trying to transfer some backup files to a 2DS, but I've discovered that the card is locked. The lock switch is in the off position, yet when I run Diskpart, it indicates the card's current state is read-only. Here's the output I got: Current Read-only State: Yes, Read-only: No. Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening or how to fix it?

It sounds like your SD card might be faulty. Honestly, that kind of read-only state usually suggests it's gone bad. If you bought it from Amazon, it might be worth returning. If you have any important data on it, you could try using Diskpart commands to clean it up. Just be aware that if it fails to clean, it definitely needs replacing.

Yeah, I tried the clean command, but I got an error about the I/O device. The event log mentioned a hardware fault too. Seems like it's really dead.
