Hey everyone! It's been ages since I've built a PC; I've been using laptops for the last decade. I'm looking to create a PC that can run Unreal Engine 5 efficiently. I've started putting together a list of components and made some choices already. Here's what I have so far: I'm beginning with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which I can upgrade later if necessary. I also picked a 2TB NVMe SSD, which should be more than enough for my needs, but I'm open to upgrades in the future. For the CPU, I chose an 8-core processor that runs at 5.2GHz, as I've heard that more cores are essential for working with Unreal Engine.
Power supply is another area where I'm a bit in the dark, so I selected one that has about double the wattage required, just to be safe. The CPU cooler was also picked essentially at random.
I'm currently unsure about the motherboard and GPU; I picked a motherboard somewhat randomly and chose a reasonably priced GPU with 16GB of memory. I haven't kept up with GPU developments, so I'm not sure if it's outdated or still good. I'd really appreciate any insights or recommendations, especially regarding the motherboard and GPU. Also, I realize I need to consider cooling fans and other peripherals, which I hadn't originally thought about. Thanks in advance!

You've got a pretty high-end setup started! If you're serious about gaming as well as developing, you might want to invest in a better GPU to balance your powerful CPU. The 5060 Ti with 16GB is decent, but it could be worth looking into something like the 5070 for a performance boost, especially for UE5 development. This way, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly as you dive into your projects.

My biggest concern is the GPU too. I want to make sure I can efficiently develop in UE5 without running into performance issues. Are there any GPUs you'd recommend that are a significant upgrade without breaking the bank?
