Hey everyone! I've just kicked off my second PC build. My first one served me well since 2019, but it's definitely outdated—GTX 1660, Ryzen 5 2600, and 16GB of RAM—that was a budget setup for sure! Now, I'm aiming for a 1440p gaming experience. I'm not too keen on 4K, and while ray tracing is cool, I could live without it. Right now, I'm considering three graphics cards: RX 7800 XT, RX 7900 XT, or the 5070 Ti, which is priced around $860, my max budget for a GPU. I just want something that'll deliver at least 60+ FPS in 1440p while staying somewhat future-proof. I'd really appreciate any advice or insights you have, thanks!

Honestly, I'd say either the RX 7900 XT or the 5070 Ti are solid picks. The performance between the two is nearly equal, but Nvidia tends to have a slight advantage in games that utilize DLSS. However, AMD's FSR4 is becoming more common, so you’ll still be in good shape regardless of which you choose.

Enjoy your new GPU!
I'd recommend going with the RX 7900 XT. It offers great performance and should meet your 1440p needs nicely without any hiccups.
If you're eyeing the 7900 XT and it's around $150 cheaper than the 5070 Ti, I'd say go for that one. But if you find the 5070 Ti closer to $650, it could be worth considering!
Just get what fits your budget! Any CPU above the base 5600 should work with any current GPU. As for the VRAM issue, a low VRAM card might have a few texture pop-ins during heavy scenes, but that's a minor concern. The 7900 XT is a fantastic deal right now.
