I'm looking to upgrade my current setup, which includes a GTX 1650 Super, Ryzen 3 3200G, and a proprietary HP motherboard. My goal is to find a new GPU, CPU, case, PSU, and motherboard for under $500. I already have 16GB of DDR4 G.Skill RGB RAM and a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD. Any suggestions for affordable upgrades would be appreciated!

You could find a decent used PC on sites like Facebook Marketplace for about $500. Look for one with a Ryzen 7 3700X and maybe a 3060 GPU, just be patient and keep checking!
Why not try upgrading to a 5000-series CPU and a 3060 12GB? Just keep in mind that HP's motherboards can be pretty restrictive.
Plus, your HP PSU might not handle the load since it's only 250 watts.
Honestly, it'll be tough to do a complete upgrade for just $500. You might want to consider selling your current setup and using that cash alongside $500 to buy a more powerful used PC instead.
That's a solid idea! You could get more for your money that way.
What kind of power supply do you have? If you could swap out your CPU and add a GPU, you might get the most bang for your buck. A good 5000 series AMD CPU should work after a BIOS update, assuming your PSU allows it.
Yeah, but with a proprietary HP motherboard, BIOS updates for new CPUs might not happen.
Also, keep in mind that a 250W PSU will really limit your options.
You should definitely save up a bit more. A $500 budget for a full upgrade might not cut it if you're looking for serious performance.
I get it, but I'd just love some concrete suggestions instead of being told to just save more!

Yeah, I’ve heard HP is picky with CPU support on their AM4 boards.
