Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC and heading to Micro Center for parts. I'd really appreciate any insights on my build. I'll be using a monitor with a 3440 x 1440 resolution mainly for gaming like Horizon Zero Dawn, Cyberpunk, and the upcoming Resident Evil title. My estimated budget is around $1290 before tax, and I'd like to keep it under $1400. I also have a couple of questions:
1. Is a Microsoft subscription necessary for setting up the operating system?
2. I have an 8TB IronWolf 7200 RPM SATA III 3.5" Internal NAS HDD that's not currently connected to my home NAS. Can I use this to boost my PC storage or even store game data? I'm new to all of this, so any advice would be super helpful!

I've updated my list based on Micro Center's prices. I suggest skipping the 7800x3d and going for the 7600x3d bundle; it's about $120 cheaper. Consider the 9070xt instead of the 9060xt, and check for open box deals. That'll bring your total to around $1424.
It looks like the RX 9060 XT might struggle with your desired resolution. I’d suggest you drop down to the 9600X for the CPU and try to grab a better GPU instead. Also, keep in mind that Windows is a one-time license, so no subscription is needed.

Thanks for the tips! Quick question - how do I know if the GPU will actually fit in my case? Should I check that in-store or are there specific measurements I should look for?
