Seeking Feedback on My First PC Build After a Decade

Hey everyone! So, I'm diving back into the PC building world after about ten years. I've put together a potential first build and would love your feedback! Here's the [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sn66xg).

I'm located in Chicago and can access a Micro Center, so most of my parts are available there, bundled or otherwise. My initial budget was set between $1000 and $1500, but I went a little over that mark. I think the performance boost might be worth it, though! My primary goals are to game at 1440p, do some light music work, and dabble in 3D modeling with Blender. I want to be able to play everything from the latest AAA titles to strategy games.

Please feel free to critique my build or suggest any improvements. Thanks in advance!

I’d be cautious about the PSU you picked; it doesn't seem very trustworthy. Since you have a Micro Center nearby, you could find a better option for a similar price. I suggest checking out this spreadsheet with tiered PSU models, so aim for one that's rated C tier or better: [PSU Tier List](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/edit?usp=sharing). Also, make sure your CPU cooler can handle the 7800X3D; it’s a great choice, but it needs decent cooling.

Just so you know, it’s actually an A-tier PSU! PCPartPicker has a weird model name for it, but it's the Vetroo G5, so it should perform well.

Your build looks fantastic! Just a note on the case: while it may not seem like the best value, I understand you're looking for one without a glass side panel, which is tough to find these days. I recommend checking out this [Fractal Design case](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KLQcCJ/fractal-design-pop-air-atx-mid-tower-case-fd-c-poa1a-01); it's slightly nicer. There's also a more expensive option, the [Meshify 2 Compact](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/7TBG3C/fractal-design-meshify-2-compact-atx-mid-tower-case-fd-c-mes2c-01), which performs really well but isn't the prettiest. Personally, I’d lean towards the Phantom Spirit 120 cooler instead of the A620 SE, but the A620 is still solid!

I haven't really looked into cases either! My main requirement is a black or white color scheme, so I’m open to suggestions. Let me know if you come across any good options!
