I'm trying to put together a gaming PC for the first time and I'm not sure what components are good or if my CPU is compatible with everything else. I have an AMD Ryzen 9800X3D 8-core, 16-thread desktop processor. Can anyone help me come up with a solid gaming PC build within a budget of $2000?

Check out this build I've put together for you: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qTrgRV. It features the Ryzen 9800X3D paired with a 5070 Ti, which is an excellent combo for under $2000. I recommend the MSI B850MPOWER motherboard, as it's one of the best B850 models available—just $200, it has great rear I/O, strong power delivery, and fantastic RAM overclocking capability. Plus, it comes with a POST code daughterboard for troubleshooting!

That looks like a solid setup! But take a look at this version I tweaked: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XprgRV. I upgraded the PSU and chose a better case. You could also go for a decent AIO cooler for the 9800X3D if you want to push the performance even further. Alternatively, there's this other build with an AIO and a different case: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nGnvHW.
