Hey everyone!
I'm currently using a 2070 Super paired with a 5700x3d, and gaming at 1440p. I've been thinking about upgrading my GPU and have a few options in mind, but I'd love to get your thoughts on them.
Option A: 5070ti. I've heard good things about it, but it's the most expensive option at around 850€ here.
Option B: 9070XT. This has been on my radar for a while due to its price-to-performance ratio, costing about 700€. My concern with switching to AMD stems from their FSR technology not being as developed as NVIDIA's DLSS, which has really helped me with my 2070 Super. If I go with AMD, I worry about a shorter upgrade path without DLSS.
Option C: Second-hand market! I could grab a 4070 super (12GB version) for about 450€, which still has a year of warranty left. I've had good experiences buying and selling second-hand parts, but I know it comes with risks. Other options I've seen, like the 4070 ti supers, are priced over 600€, making them less appealing to buy used.
I'm not on a super tight budget, but I struggle with the idea of spending over 1000€ on a GPU, so I'm avoiding options like the 5080 for now. I'm also open to any other suggestions you might have. Would really appreciate your feedback as I'm contemplating all of this!

While DLSS is indeed the better option, FSR4 has come a long way. Its biggest drawback is that it’s not widely supported in many games yet, and upgrading to FSR4 requires using their driver software, but that is likely to improve over time. The pricing for the 5070Ti seems justified based on its features, but do keep that in mind!
Having upgraded from a 2070 myself earlier this year, honestly, any modern GPU would perform great with your setup. The 5700x3d can handle GPUs almost up to the 5080 without bottlenecking.
The 5070Ti and 9070XT are pretty comparable, but for me, the 9070XT at around $600 is the better choice. While Nvidia’s features like DLSS are nice, I don’t think they’re worth spending over $200 more when AMD's FSR has improved significantly recently. Honestly, I believe that the 9070XT has become a great value for your money.
If you're able to find a used 4070 Ti Super for around 600€, I'd say that's a much better deal compared to dropping 850€ on the 5070 Ti. It's the best of both worlds!
I checked some listings, and it looks like they're going for closer to 700€, not quite the 600€ mark.

Thanks for the insight! The 150€ price difference between the 5070Ti and 9070XT makes it a tough choice. I’m hoping FSR4 continues to evolve with game support.
