Should I Be Worried About Selling My Old iPhone with an eSIM?

I recently got a new iPhone and during the setup, I chose to keep my eSIM while erasing all data from my old phone. Now, I can't access the old phone without logging back into my Apple account, as I'm planning to sell it. Should I be concerned about the new owner having access to my cellular plan? What steps should I take to secure it?

Yes, if you don't remove the eSIM before selling your old phone, the new owner might have access to your cellular plan. It's definitely a concern you should address. To fix it, you can go to your carrier and ask them to deactivate the eSIM on your old device. They should be able to help you with that quickly.

Make sure to contact your carrier to remove the eSIM from your old phone before selling it. This way, you ensure that no one can access your cellular services. Also, factory reset the phone to erase any personal data just to be safe.
