Should I Build My Own PC or Buy a Prebuilt One?

I'm trying to figure out whether it's more cost-effective to buy a prebuilt PC or to build one myself. I'm set on getting an Intel i7 12700k for my build, and since I'm a streamer who plays demanding games, I want to ensure my setup can handle that. My budget is $1400. Any thoughts on the best route to take?

Comparing prices is key here! Make sure you look at both prebuilt options and individual component prices. If you're unsure about building, there are communities like buildapcforme that can help you out with part suggestions.

Generally, it's cheaper to build your own gaming PC. The Intel i7 12700k is a decent choice, but it's getting a bit old. You might want to consider something like the Ryzen 9800X3D, although that could push you over budget when combined with a good GPU. Also, if you're looking for help on specifics, check out build recommendations on forums dedicated to PC building.
