Should I Change Any Parts Before Upgrading to a 9800x3d?

I'm planning to upgrade my PC with a brand new 9800x3d CPU, and I want to make sure everything's compatible and optimal before I dive in. Here's what I've got on my upgrade list:

- **CPU:** 9800x3d
- **Cooler:** PS120SE
- **Motherboard:** MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK
- **RAM:** G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64 GB (CL30)

I'm super excited about this upgrade since I've always wanted to boost my CPU power from my current 10400. However, I spent a lot of time researching, and I'm worried there might be a compatibility issue I overlooked. Any suggestions or feedback?

Everything looks solid to me! Seems like a well thought out upgrade.

Why are you going with 64GB of RAM? If this build is mainly for gaming, 32GB should be plenty. Just curious about your reasoning!

I have a lot of browser tabs open and do quite a bit of video editing alongside gaming. I had 32GB before and my PC crashed a lot, losing unsaved work. That’s why I’m sticking with 64GB this time.

Don’t you think you’ll need to upgrade your GPU too? Just wondering why that’s off your list.

I’m not planning to upgrade my GPU right now since it’s still working fine for my needs, so I’m just focusing on these listed parts.
