Should I Change My PC Case for Better Airflow and Less Noise?

Hey everyone! I just built a new gaming PC and have been using the HAVN BF360 case. I started with the flow version that has 180mm fans, but returned it because it had a weird hum that really bothered me (I'm quite sensitive to odd noises). I then switched to the non-flow version and used my Noctua 140mm G2 fans, but I'm still dealing with this annoying hum that I didn't experience in my previous case. Since I have 10 days left to return my case, I'm debating whether I should get a new one altogether. I need something that supports air cooling and is low on noise. I really like the Meshify 3 case but I'm worried about whether my MSI 5080 Gaming Trio will fit inside. I'm not a fan of the XL version and I'm curious about how to use an anti-sag bracket with the sloped front design. Has anyone here used the Meshify 3 with a similar GPU? I'm also open to suggestions for other cases; I'm not really a fan of the Fractal Torrent or the North—I've heard the North can be quite noisy due to its wood front panel. By the way, I'm also considering the BeQuiet Dark Rock 701. Any thoughts?

I totally get your concerns! I was considering the Meshify 3XL too, but I ended up opting for the Be Quiet! Pure Base 501 because I wanted something quieter. I’m using an MSI 5080 Gaming Trio as well, and with three Arctic P12 Pro 120mm for intake and one 140mm for exhaust, it runs really quietly. You can definitely use your Noctua fans as well since the case is flexible with fan sizes and has great dust filters!

Oh nice! I used the Purebase 501 for my last build and loved it. How are the temperatures holding up in your setup?

Have you thought about the ASUS GT302? It's built solid with thick metal sheets and has a mesh side panel, which should help with airflow and keep the noise down!

If noise is your big concern, consider using Be Quiet fans. They make larger models that can run at lower speeds, which might help reduce noise due to their rippling blades design. I can't stand noise either, so I feel you there!

I used the flow version of the HAVN and didn’t have any humming issues, so it might be something with your specific setup. I’ve found that raising the case off the desk, about a foot high, helped reduce noise quite a bit for me. Might be worth trying before you return it!

That's a solid tip! I had my PC on the same level and noticed it would amplify some sounds. A platform could definitely help.
