I'm trying to figure out whether I should go for 32GB of RAM running at 2400MHz, or if I should stick with 16GB of RAM that runs at 4000MHz. Right now, I have two 8GB sticks at 4000MHz and another two 8GB sticks at 2400MHz, but since the slower RAM brings everything down to 2400MHz, I'm uncertain. I mainly play competitive Fortnite and want the best setup for performance.

It really comes down to what you need. RAM speed matters, but for gaming, especially in Fortnite, having more RAM might be beneficial. If you're multitasking or running extra apps while gaming, 32GB will help. But if you're strictly gaming, the 4000MHz might give you a slight edge in performance. Just remember that your motherboard needs to support the faster RAM as well!
For Fortnite, low latency is crucial, so the 16GB at 4000MHz could help with that response time and reduce input delay. But you might want to check if your games and other tasks actually benefit from the speed. I'd say if you're mainly gaming, try the faster one. Just be sure your system can handle it!
Honestly, 32GB is usually more than enough for gaming today, and since 2400MHz isn't terrible, it could still serve you well. Just be careful with compatibility if you ever decide to upgrade further. If you're heavy into gaming without running lots of apps, definitely consider the faster option.
