I'm trying to decide between cases for my new build because my current one feels a bit cramped. I've come across cases with front fans and others with side fans, and I noticed the side fan cases seem to offer a bit more space. My main concern is airflow—will one option provide better airflow than the other? I think the front fan setup might be superior, but is the difference significant? For reference, I'm looking at the Deepcool CG580 (side fans) and the Montech Air 903 Max (front fans). Also, if I add an extra fan at the bottom for the case with side fans, will that improve the airflow? By the way, I'm using a CPU air cooler, the Phantom Spirit 120.

When it comes to temps, you’re only going to see a slight difference regardless of the fan placement. So, if you prefer the front-side fans, you can definitely go for it without worrying too much about harming your setup. Just make sure your case has good overall airflow. Adding a fan to the floor with intake could definitely help improve airflow! Just keep in mind to balance your exhaust as well for the best results.

Thanks! I'm planning on using three side fans for intake and then three others for exhaust (two on top and one at the back). Should I squeeze in that extra fan on the floor for intake? Maybe another one on the top for good measure?
