Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading from my 6700 XT since it's starting to fall behind. There's currently a refurbished 4070 on sale for £360. I'm wondering if this is a better investment compared to the 5060 Ti which has 12GB of RAM. I've been hearing that games might struggle with just 12GB at 1440p, even though the 4070 is around 10% more powerful. What do you all think?

If you're set on upgrading, go for the 4070! The 6700 XT is solid, but if you're experiencing issues, it's time to move on. I used a 6700 XT at 1440p, and it handled medium to high settings really well, so you’re definitely not in a bad spot!
Definitely go for the 4070!
You might want to hold out for the 9060 XT that's coming out soon!
Is the 4070 actually cheaper than the 5060 Ti? If it is, no brainer—get the 4070. If not, maybe consider the 5060 Ti instead.
Honestly, I think the 12GB on the 5060 Ti should be sufficient for a while, especially for 1080 to 1440p gaming. Some folks here are too focused on maxing out everything at 4K. For most games, you should be just fine!
I get what you're saying, but convincing everyone about that can be tough!
Right, but everyone keeps saying wait! You know those cards will get scalped to hell.
